Burger Night In


A recipe for a burger? Yes, I have created a recipe for a burger--a keto dairy free burger too! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. It's simple, easy and extremely satisfying.

You Need:
  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20
  • butter lettuce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil 
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 chopped onion
  • 6-8 mushrooms roughly chopped
  • prepared guacamole (avocado, tomato, garlic and onion powder, cilantro, lime) 
  • 4 strips bacon, cooked
  • mayo
  • ketchup 
  • pickles

Directions:

Pull 8 leafs of butter lettuce off and wash, lay flat to dry. In a pan with some olive oil saute the onions for 3 minutes. Add the mushrooms and soy sauce, and saute until onions are translucent and mushrooms are cooked. Set aside.

Form four hamburgers from the hamburger meat, and in another pan cook them until done. I like to brown both sides and cover the pan to "steam" them until done on the inside. Place prepared hamburger patties on four lettuce leafs. Top with the cooked onions and mushrooms, guac and bacon. Drizzle with mayo and ketchup if desired and cover with another piece of lettuce. Eat while hot and savor every bite!
